Humanitarian response
Since 2014, the NGO "MARTIN-club" has been an active humanitarian responder in Ukraine, operating in strict accordance with international Cluster system standards—specifically the Protection, Shelter/NFI (Non-Food Items), and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) clusters. Over the past decade, we have gained unique practical experience working directly along the front line, as well as in the most remote and hard-to-reach communities where access to basic humanitarian aid is either completely absent or severely limited.
Our comprehensive approach covers all stages of crisis response: from the emergency evacuation of civilians from active combat zones to the rapid provision of aid to those affected immediately following attacks and shelling. Within the WASH and Shelter sectors, we restore basic living conditions, distribute hygiene kits, set up temporary housing and safe spaces, and provide essential supplies to families who have lost everything due to the hostilities.
A significant area of our work involves systematic support for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the facilitation of their long-term recovery. Working within local communities, we provide integrated protection, legal, and psychosocial support, while improving sanitation and housing conditions in collective accommodation sites to help displaced persons adapt to their new environments. By combining emergency response experience on the front lines with sustained support in the rear, we strengthen the resilience of the entire humanitarian system.
