Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS)

The psychological service of the NGO "Martin-Club" provides prompt, professional crisis support to individuals facing difficult life circumstances due to the war and other traumatic events. Through mobile and remote service delivery, the organization’s specialists bring psychological aid directly to those who need it most: people with disabilities, those living under temporary occupation, and internally displaced persons. Our psychologists also staff transit centers, meeting people during the critical, most difficult hours immediately following evacuation and helping them stabilize their emotional state.

A key priority is providing specialized assistance to survivors of various forms of violence, including domestic and sexual abuse. Service specialists employ evidence-based psychotherapeutic techniques to restore a sense of safety, overcome the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and rebuild inner resilience. An individualized, sensitive approach allows for the careful processing of deep psychological trauma and the restoration of the survivors' mental health.

The service specializes extensively in child psychology and support for minors who have come into contact with the law or suffered abuse. Our psychologists participate in procedural interviews with children conducted in specially equipped "green rooms," which foster a safe and child-friendly environment. Additionally, specialists conduct thorough diagnostic assessments, provide professional psychological reports for the court, and offer psychological support to children during court proceedings, thereby minimizing the risk of re-traumatization.

A key aspect of the psychological service's work is a robust component of modern therapeutic practices aimed at preserving and replenishing inner resources during the war. Through art therapy, body-oriented exercises, group sessions, and self-regulation training, specialists help adults and children overcome chronic stress, find new meaning, and build resilience in the face of current challenges.
