The armed conflict has caused a massive presence of mines and explosive devices in frontline areas. So massive that the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs considers Ukraine one of the most mined countries in the world. Explosive weapons will continue to pose a threat to civilians for a long time, especially children and young people who do not always understand the risks associated with them. This is confirmed by a U-report survey of 4,415 young people from Ukraine on mine safety rules.
